The beginning...

I am a part of a wonderful community of women. We live in the same town, get together frequently, share ideas, and help one another become better wives and mothers. I feel so blessed to be a part of this community of strong, smart, and talented women. I only wish everyone could have this kind of supportive network. I'm one of those people that as soon as I learn something new that helps me in my life, I can't wait to tell every friend I have! I have been following blogs for a couple of years now, as my life has changed from being a single working woman to a wife and stay at home mom. I really appreciate all of the helpful tips they've taught me so I decided to share our tips with all of you.
I read articles describing women like me in current magazines. Apparently I'm a part of a growing trend - a group of women from around the US are transforming their lives from being career driven to healthy home warriors in a world filled with processed food and being completely disconnected from their own children. The word "housewife" used to have such a negative connotation but now many of us desire for a simpler lifestyle where we sow seeds in our homes through fresh food, relationship building, and frankly living on far less income! My mom laughs when she hears that I can't wait to garden because as a child I never wanted to help her in the family garden. These days I want to know where the food I make for my family comes from, penny pinch my way to being debt free, spend quality time with my children and husband, use safe organic cleaning products, and help others around us.
I hope this blog will help many of you who may be living a similar lifestyle with things like gardening, organizing the home, family date nights, homemade gifts, parenting skills, natural products for baby and home, and many other ideas.
